The Embassy of Uzbekistan has carried out the repatriation of the bodies of two Uzbek citizens who passed away in Poland in August and September 2026, according to the publication Dunyo.
In the first case, citizen J.Kh. died on August 24 in Olsztyn after falling from a height, which resulted in severe brain injury. His body was delivered to Uzbekistan on September 5.
Citizen T.E. died on September 5 in Szczecin; according to official information, the cause of death was tetanus. His body was transported to Tashkent on September 20.
In both cases, the costs for transporting the bodies from Poland to Uzbekistan were covered by the Migration Fund, established at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan. The Embassy coordinated the entire repatriation process, cooperating with Polish authorities, which allowed the families of the deceased to avoid additional financial and organizational expenses during this difficult period.
