JSW is preparing to introduce its first vehicle, the Combat, to the Indian market. Previously, the launch was anticipated before Diwali, but it is now being discussed that the company has decided to postpone the release date. Official information from JSW on this matter has not yet been released.
Meanwhile, an updated version of the Jetour T2 has been presented. This model is relevant because the expected Combat vehicle in India is based on the Jetour T2. The updated version of this crossover was launched in China. Let's look at the main features of this updated model.
Compared to the previous version, the updated crossover features a more refined design. It includes round headlights that contrast with the square elements of the old model. A large JETOUR branding badge is visible on the grille, and the entire width of the grille is equipped with an LED strip that connects to the headlights.
The side profile of the car has retained its original appearance, although minor changes were made, such as adding wheel arches painted in the body color. As for the rear, the Jetour T2 Facelift is equipped with three-dimensional rear lights in a four-dot shape. A new rear spoiler has also been added in the update.
The interior of the Jetour T2 Facelift has become more transparent. The company updated the dashboard by adding dual vertical air vents on both sides. The center console features two smartphone holders with Qi wireless charging support. The vehicle is equipped with a 15.6-inch multimedia system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
The crossover is provided with a 23-speaker surround sound system. The Jetour T2 Facelift offers 10-position comfortable seats with 8-point massage function. The steering wheel has also been updated.
The base configuration of the crossover still uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, which produces 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Additionally, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque is available.
The Jetour T2 i-DM PHEV version is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 156 hp and 220 Nm of torque, along with a 26.61 kWh LFP battery. In pure electric mode, the vehicle offers a range of 108 km, while the version with a 45.12 kWh battery pack can travel 173 kilometers.
JSW Combat, based on the Jetour T2, is expected to appear in the Indian market in the price range of 30 to 50 lakh rupees.
