House of Graham Beck has officially confirmed its partnership with Cap Classique for the Taste of Cape Town event. This partnership will feature a carefully selected collection from six Cape Town wineries, which will offer their wines throughout both days of the event at the Green Point Cricket Club.
Participants include Kleine Zalze and Cavalli from Stellenbosch, Waterford Estate located in Blaauwklippen Valley, Steenberg Vineyards in Constantia, where winemaking has been practiced since 1682, and The Chocolate Block from Boekenhoutskloof in Franschhoek.
The wine offering at the event was curated rather than sold as a single branded category. Taste of Cape Town hired a wine curator to create a list that could complement the 12 best restaurant cuisines, the chef school, and the two-day masterclass program.
Kerry Espey, BFE Events Manager and appointed Wine Curator for Taste of Cape Town, noted: 'A festival built around taste deserves wines that complement every bite.'
Over the two days, 12 cuisines will showcase the city's best flavors, accompanied by carefully selected Western Cape wines. Graham Beck will set the tone by offering guests a glass of Cap Classique upon entry. The assortment includes vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, textural Chenin Blanc, and beautifully structured full-bodied red wines that pair easily with the diverse tastes and cuisines presented at Taste of Cape Town.
South African wine is distinguished by its great versatility on the table, reflecting the diversity of terroirs, winemakers, and the increasingly pronounced modern character of South African wine. Behind each wine is a sense of place: every wine on the list is grown, pressed, and bottled right here in the Western Cape, celebrating the exceptional food, wine, and character of this corner of the world.
Cap Classique from Graham Beck will be served as a welcome drink, while the Graham Beck Vintage assortment will be available in the Slow Life VIP lounge.
