Welspun Corp announced on Friday that its wholly-owned American subsidiary, Welspun Tubular LLC, has secured its largest order for High Frequency Induction Welded (HFIW) pipes. The value of this order is approximately $412.5 million USD, equivalent to about 400 billion Indian rupees.
The company reported in a filing to the stock exchange that this order is the largest in the subsidiary's history in terms of volume, length, and value.
The production of these pipes will take place at Welspun Corp's recently modernized HFIW plant located in Little Rock, USA. The company noted that this facility possesses enhanced manufacturing capabilities.
The execution of this order is planned for fiscal years 28 and 29. Following the acquisition of this contract, Welspun Corp's total global orders reached a record $4.7 billion USD, which is approximately 45,000 billion rupees and represents the highest figure in the company's history.
The corporation emphasized that this order confirms the scale, quality, and capability of its operations to execute projects. Furthermore, the contract strengthens the company's long-term strategy of expanding global production capacity and deepening ties with major international clients.
