According to data from Friday, September 25, 2026, GIFT Nifty pointed to a potential rebound of Nifty50 at the open, linked to news that the US and Iran are working on a plan to end the war. Futures traded at 23,142 points, showing a rise of 44 points.
Asian markets displayed an ambiguous picture on Friday morning as investors assessed the events that took place at the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Nikkei 225 index in Japan increased by 1.30 percent, while the Hang Seng index in Hong Kong fell by 1.64 percent. Trading in mainland China and South Korea was closed on Friday.
Overnight, the Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices closed lower by 0.31 percent and 0.02 percent, respectively. The Nasdaq composite index recorded a slight increase of 0.01 percent.
The yield on the benchmark 10-year US Treasury bond rose to 5.22 percent. Brent crude oil prices fell by more than 1 percent during Asian trading hours amid growing hopes for a ceasefire between the US and Iran following reports that both sides are studying a phased withdrawal from the war. September futures traded at $105.73, which is 1.18 percent lower.
Gold and silver futures rose by 0.61 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively.
Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) on Friday
On Friday, the listing of initial public offerings (IPOs) began for companies such as Snapdeal, Orient Cables, German Green Steel, and Runwal Enterprises. Additionally, the IPOs of Bench Mark, Shree TNB Polymers, Dudani Retail, Himalayan Solar, and Sai Urja Indo were also offered.
The second day of IPO listings will involve Moneyview and A-One Steels, Green Asia Impex, Peshwa Wheat, and Roopa Screen. In the main market segment, Adroit Industries, Elevate Campuses, Swastika Infra, and ArMee Infotech will begin their third day of sales. In the SME segment, the final day is approaching for the IPOs of Unitec Fibres, S.K.Offset, Liqvd Digital, Pooja Logistics, and Coreintegra Consulting.
US Stock Futures Remain Stable
US stock futures traded without significant fluctuations on Friday morning following an unsatisfactory session on Wall Street, as bond yields continued to rise. Futures for the Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices remained unchanged.
