Chinese giant Huawei announced the launch of four new watches in the Brazilian market on Thursday night, September 24th. The models include the Huawei Watch GT 7, Watch GT 7 Pro, Watch 6, and Watch D3. Additionally, the company will also make the FreeBuds Neo earphones available.
The highlight of the event, held at the Ibirapuera Park auditorium in São Paulo, is the Watch GT 7. This model has a suggested price of R$ 2,299, but is available for R$ 999 on Shopee only that Thursday, while supplies last. It is important to note that all Huawei smartwatches are compatible with both Android and iPhone (iOS).
The two watches belonging to the GT 7 line offer over 110 training modes and colorful maps accessible offline. The Huawei Sunflower positioning system operates in conjunction with an XDR inertial navigation algorithm that uses artificial intelligence. This technology combines internal sensor data and external signals to anticipate routes and ensure location accuracy in environments such as tunnels, bridges, overpasses, and mountains.
In specific activities, the watch displays incline, average incline, and power in watts during cycling. For skiing, it features a dedicated mode for indoor slopes and access to over 3 thousand global station maps, detailing routes and difficulty levels.
In terms of health, the Huawei TruSense system monitors heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep patterns, and stress levels. A new feature is Physical Readiness Score, which assesses overnight recovery based on sleep quality, stress, load, and exercise duration, body temperature, and cardiovascular data, indicating whether the body is fit for new activities or needs rest.
Additionally, the watches track the menstrual cycle through the Huawei Health app, providing estimates for the next period and the fertile window. There are also mini-exercises available for 11 body regions that do not require equipment.
The Watch GT 7 is built from stainless steel and is available in 41mm and 46mm versions, allowing for the use of custom watch faces with photos from the phone's gallery. Huawei did not specify the battery life for this model.
The Watch GT 7 Pro, made of titanium alloy, has been available in Brazil since September 9th, at the official Huawei store on Mercado Livre, with a promotional price of R$ 1,499. The company has not disclosed prices outside of this offer. This model has a battery life of up to 21 days, a nanocrystalline ceramic bezel, and a sapphire crystal. It is the only one in the GT 7 line that features electrocardiogram (ECG) and arrhythmia detection, featuring actor Cauã Reymond as the face of the campaign in the country.
Regarding the other three products, Huawei did not disclose the price or sales date in Brazil. They were presented overseas in early September, and the following information refers to their global versions.
The Watch 6 is presented as the brand's most complete watch, coming in 42mm and 46mm sizes, and boasting an AMOLED screen with a brightness of up to 3,500 nits. Its X-TAP sensor integrates electrocardiogram, a 12-channel optical sensor, and blood oxygen measurement. The battery lasts approximately three days on the smaller version and four and a half days on the larger; in power-saving mode, it can last up to 11 days, according to the company. Internationally, this watch offers eSIM, NFC payment, and the ability to connect to two phones simultaneously.
The Watch D3 allows measuring blood pressure using an inflatable chamber inside the strap, similar to a traditional device, and has medical certification in Europe. It also performs 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). Its AMOLED screen measures 1.92 inches, the body is 11.3 mm thick, and the total weight is 40 grams. The battery supports up to six days of use, or about one day when ABPM is active.
Finally, the FreeBuds Neo are wireless earphones equipped with noise cancellation of up to 30 dB and spatial audio. They transmit lossless audio up to 2.3 Mb/s and can connect two devices at the same time, being compatible with Android, iOS, or Windows.
