Sesc da Esquina in Curitiba will host a new edition of Sesc Geek Literacon during the last weekend of September, specifically between the 25th and 27th of the month, focusing on the Medieval Universe theme.
This event aims to immerse participants in the narratives of kingdoms, knights, and high fantasy, inspired by the medieval period, which served as the basis for many popular works in contemporary geek culture, ranging from comics to video games.
Sesc Geek Literacon will promote various activities related to fantasy, RPG, comics, music, and other medieval themed experiences, organized through workshops and events.
RPG enthusiasts will have the opportunity to participate in open sessions at the Fantastic RPG Journeys. Collectors can exchange their manga and magazines at the Swap Fair, interacting with other comic fans.
Among the scheduled attractions is a concert by the band Terra Celta, scheduled for September 26th (Saturday), as well as cultural exhibitions, such as the exhibition 'The Art of Medieval Manuscripts: Illuminated Manuscripts Exhibition from the University of Oxford Library,' which will be on display throughout the three days of the event.
Available workshops include a medieval drawing station, held on the 25th and 26th, and another focused on creating scrolls in the style of ancient manuscripts, also on the 25th and 26th. For body art, there will be the 'Norse Warriors and Legends' station on the 25th, dedicated to Viking makeup, and a tattooing workshop called 'Marks of Warriors and Mages' on the 27th.

Sesc Geek Literacon 2026, with the Medieval Universe theme, will take place from September 25th to 27th (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), from 10 am to 8 pm, at Sesc da Esquina, located at Rua Visconde do Rio Branco, 969, in the Mercês neighborhood, in Curitiba. Entry to all workshops and events is free.
