Chibo Tan, a representative of the Chinese company Gobi Partners, reviewed the investment possibilities and technological prospects of the BioPharma City pharmaceutical cluster in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry.
The meeting between Chibo Tan and the Agency's director, Abdulla Azizov, took place on September 23. Participants were presented with information about the reforms underway in Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical industry, as well as the conditions and investment opportunities for implementing modern projects in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
Particular attention was paid to the concept of developing BioPharma City, the infrastructure for research and production, and the potential for cooperation with international firms. The parties also discussed prospects for joint work in the fields of research and development (R&D), biotechnology, and clinical trials.
Furthermore, during the discussion, issues regarding attracting foreign investment and implementing promising projects were considered.
