The Uzbekistan futsal national team has completed its training camp in Europe, playing four friendly matches against the national teams of the Netherlands and Hungary. Midfielder Ilhom Khamroev told Tribuna.uz about the team's preparation and the matches played against European opponents.
According to Khamroev, the games against the Netherlands provided Uzbekistan with valuable international experience. He noted the cohesion of the opponents, adding that the Uzbek team showed a good level in both encounters.
Nevertheless, the midfielder pointed out a lack of efficiency in the team when finishing attacks. In contrast, the Netherlands managed to convert the chances they created.
Khamroev reported that the scenarios of the matches against Hungary developed differently. In the first game, Uzbekistan created fewer dangerous chances, and losing individual duels allowed the Hungarian team to capitalize on its opportunities. At the same time, he believes that Uzbekistan played better in the first match and demonstrated more attractive futsal. The situation changed in the second game.
The midfielder gave a positive assessment of the foreign camp as part of the preparation for the World Cup. He emphasized that the team was able to identify areas requiring further work and determine aspects that need more attention.
"Foreign training camps have always been useful for the national team," stated Khamroev.
Furthermore, the player discussed his club's goals in the Oliy Liga championship. According to him, the team aims to fight for the title and gain points in every match, despite strong competition.
When asked about potential title contenders, Khamroev did not name specific teams. He noted that every participant in the championship is capable of achieving positive results, so the current season may prove more interesting and competitive than the previous one.
