Producer Ragini Sona denies rumors of ₹100 crore OTT deal for 'Hanuman ANS'

The film 'Hanuman ANS', inspired by the life of Nim Korali Baba, is generating significant interest in cinema screenings. The film, shot with an estimated budget of ₹1.75 to ₹2 crore, earned more than 180 times its cost, placing it among India's most profitable movies.

Consequently, there has been active discussion regarding a possible premiere on streaming platforms (OTT), with reports circulating about a ₹100 crore offer. However, one of the film's producers, Ragini Sona, categorically rejected these rumors.

In an exclusive interview, Ragini Sona stated that she respects the opinion of Vishal Chaturvedi, the film's creator, and trusts his decisions. She clarified that they receive various offers but cannot confirm the existence of a ₹100 crore offer. Sona added that they will announce their OTT deal soon, but not immediately.

Ragini Sona believes that the true viewing experience of 'Hanuman ANS' is only possible on the big screen. She explained that watching in a theater provides a completely different feeling compared to home viewing on OTT, where the viewer can be distracted by mundane details. According to her, this film is so captivating that viewers cannot take their eyes off the screen, remaining motionless even after the session ends.

Sona cited a scene where the character Shobhinow meditates, creating a protective circle around himself, which immerses viewers in a transcendent experience. She emphasized that the pleasure of watching in a theater cannot be compared to what can be obtained on OTT. Nevertheless, she acknowledged that the film must still be released on OTT, but currently, the team is determining the optimal timing for theatrical release to maximize profit.

The box office success of 'Hanuman ANS' continued into its 48th day of release. In India, the film collected a net revenue of ₹3.75 crore across 7,358 screenings. The film's total gross collection in India reached ₹336.20 crore, with a net collection of ₹284.68 crore. Furthermore, on the 48th day abroad, the film brought in ₹1 crore, bringing the total overseas gross to ₹35.75 crore. Thus, the worldwide gross of the film increased to ₹371.95 crore.
