Donior Turgunboev from Uzbekistan won a bronze medal in the Wushu discipline at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026. He participated in the Sanda competition in the under 75 kg weight category.
Turgunboev reached the semi-finals of the tournament, where he faced an athlete from Iran. The Uzbek participant lost this match for the right to reach the final and concluded the competition with a bronze award.
Thanks to Turgunboev's result, Uzbekistan's athletes in Wushu have completed their participation in the Asian Games. As of now, the national team of Uzbekistan has won 10 medals: one gold, four silver, and five bronze.
