Mercedes-Benz has released its powerful SUV model to the market. Specifically, the Mercedes-AMG G63 Offroad Pro is available in the Indian market, representing the first off-road oriented version among the company's sports SUVs in India.
This vehicle will be available in limited quantities in the Indian market, although the company has not disclosed the exact production number. The model is based on the standard AMG G63 but is equipped with special off-road gear from AMG.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 Offroad Pro was launched at a price of 3.80 lakh rupees including exterior tax. This version is 6 lakh rupees more expensive than the standard variant. The main focus of this model is both performance and off-road capability.
The car is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine with twin turbochargers, which works in conjunction with a 48V mild-hybrid system that includes an integrated starter-generator. This complex generates 585 hp and 850 Nm of torque, while the hybrid system provides an additional power boost of 15 kW.
According to the company, this SUV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.4 seconds, and its top speed reaches 240 kilometers per hour. Compared to the standard model, the Offroad Pro features special stainless steel AMG bumpers, AMG badges, and several other modifications.
The SUV's interior is fitted with Mercedes' latest MBUX NTG7 multimedia interface, which includes a dual 12.3-inch display. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as navigation with augmented reality and multiple USB Type-C ports.
The Offroad Pro has received several enhancements, including the AMG Active Ride Control suspension, which comes with active roll stabilization. This system allows the driver to change the suspension stiffness in three modes. Additionally, the vehicle features AMG Traction Pro, which improves grip and braking.
