President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the 'Chinobod real biznes' enterprise in the Balykchinsky district to familiarize himself with the fish farming project. According to the president's press service, the development of the fishing industry, including the introduction of advanced technologies, is actively promoted in Uzbekistan.
At the same time, great attention is paid to the efficient use of water and land resources, as well as achieving high yields on limited territories by applying intensive farming methods. This modern system was implemented at the 'Chinobod real biznes' enterprise.
The implementation of this project corresponds to the decree of the head of state dated July 2 of this year, which was aimed at developing aquaculture. The enterprise plans to meet the demand of farms in the Fergana Valley for trout fry.
Project details and economic indicators
The total cost of the project is estimated at 30 billion soms, and 30 jobs have been created at the facility. The modern complex, covering an area of 2 hectares, annually produces 200 tons of fish and raises 2.5 million fry. The annual turnover of production reaches 50 billion soms. Thanks to the use of intensive technologies, the productivity on these two hectares is equivalent to the volume obtained using traditional methods on 100 hectares.
A laboratory operates within the complex, capable of naturally purifying up to 2 million liters of water. Chlorella, an algae that helps improve water quality, is cultivated there. This environmentally friendly system allows for a 15–20% increase in aquaculture efficiency. Electricity consumption is fully supplied by solar panels. Water from ponds, rich in phosphorus, ammonia, and calcium, is used for irrigating agricultural crops, forming a closed system of resource reuse.
The enterprise exports 2 million trout fry annually to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan, bringing 5 billion soms to the budget with a total export volume of 2 million dollars. The project also supports employment: 20 households in the Sarvul mahalla of the Balykchinsky district participate in cooperation with the enterprise, raising trout and receiving additional income.
Integration of education and the head of state's instructions
Interaction between education and production has been established within the complex. In partnership with the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology, the 'Center for Aquaculture and Poultry Farming Practice' was established, where students apply their theoretical knowledge directly in the production process.
The head of state emphasized that such highly effective initiatives are critically important for strengthening food security and ensuring employment for the population. He instructed responsible persons to actively replicate this experience and increase the number of new projects based on intensive methods to multiply production volumes on small areas.
