According to the weather forecast published by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), today in the UAE clear or partly cloudy weather is expected as the country welcomes the arrival of autumn after a long hot summer.
Astronomical calculations announced by a high-ranking official state that autumn will begin at 4:05 AM on Wednesday, September 23. At this time, the constellations Gemini, Taurus, Leo, Sirius, Canopus, and Pleiades will shine in the eastern part of the sky at dawn.
In the afternoon, some convective clouds may form in the east and south. Residents of some western areas should expect humid conditions with a probability of fog or haze during the night and morning of Thursday.
The meteorological service has also issued red and yellow alerts regarding dense fog in some coastal and inland areas of the country. A deterioration of horizontal visibility is expected until 8:30 AM on Wednesday, with the possibility of further reduction at certain times.
The temperature regime will be as follows: high temperatures up to 39°C are expected in Dubai, up to 41°C in Abu Dhabi, and up to 40°C in Sharjah. At night, temperatures will drop to 31°C, 29°C, and 27°C, respectively.
A light or moderate southeasterly or northeasterly wind will blow, which will occasionally strengthen to speeds of 35 km/h from 10–20 km/h. The sea in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman will be calm.
