ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2026, the country's largest technology week, opened in Tashkent on September 22. The event will run until September 25 at the Central Asian Exhibition Center of Uzbekistan (CAEx) and will bring together representatives from IT companies, investors, startups, government agencies, and the international technology industry.
It is expected that delegations from over 70 countries and more than 25,000 visitors, including about 2,000 international guests, will participate in this event. The exhibition will feature solutions from over 200 organizations, and the business program has scheduled participation from over 200 speakers and experts.
National pavilions showcase companies and technological organizations from countries such as the USA, China, Japan, Georgia, Oman, Turkey, Tajikistan, and others. Additionally, Uzbek startups and international firms will present their products and developments.
In recent years, ICTWEEK has transformed from a specialized exhibition into an international technology platform. The program covers areas such as venture financing, export of IT services, attracting international companies to Uzbekistan, startup development, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, outsourcing, and digital infrastructure.
The first day includes the official opening and a tour of the ICT Expo 2026 exhibition. At the Startup and Venture Project Summit, startups will be able to meet with investors, venture funds, accelerators, corporations, and government representatives. Participants will discuss the development of the startup ecosystem, capital attraction, international scaling, and the entry of technology companies into global markets.
The first day will also host the Uzbekistan–Japan Digital Community Forum, which will gather government bodies, technology companies, investors, and representatives of innovation ecosystems from Uzbekistan and Japan. Discussions will focus on digital cooperation, investment projects, and the entry of companies from both countries into new markets.
Over the past two years, the number of Japanese companies residing in the IT Park has increased from two to 25. This forum will serve as one of the platforms for further strengthening business ties between the two states.
The second day will begin with the Enterprise Uzbekistan Summit, dedicated to developing Uzbekistan as a new technological jurisdiction. Participants will review the legal and institutional conditions for attracting international technology companies and investments. The program includes presentations from Enterprise Uzbekistan representatives, reports from EY and BDO experts, as well as a discussion with the participation of IT Park Uzbekistan and Enterprise Uzbekistan, and a panel discussion titled 'Rethinking Jurisdictions for the Global Technology Economy.'
The OTS Technology Forum and the Conference on Technological and Service Outsourcing will also be held, focusing on IT outsourcing, BPO, global business services, and service centers in Uzbekistan. In the first half of 2026, 608 export-oriented companies joined the IT Park, which is 178% more than in the same period last year. Currently, IT Park residents export IT services and digital products to 102 countries.
A special session, 'AI Threats to Education and Employment,' will examine the impact of artificial intelligence on education, professional skills, and the labor market. Representatives from Amazon Web Services, Coursera, iFLYTEK, Alibaba Cloud, and OX Group will discuss AI infrastructure, multilingual models, AI Model-as-a-Service, business process automation, and training specialists for new professions.
Another event on the second day is the Global Startup Ecosystem Awards 2026, organized by StartupBlink in collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan. The ceremony will take place for the first time in offline format, and Uzbekistan will be the first country to host this event. In 2026, StartupBlink named Uzbekistan the country of the year, and over the year, the country rose 19 positions, reaching 79th place in the global ranking. Tashkent improved its position by 121 points, reaching 229th place and becoming the city with the highest startup rating in Central Asia.
The main event of the third day will be the regional final of Startup World Cup 2026. Fifteen selected technology startups will present their products, business models, and development strategies to investors and international experts. Areas presented include artificial intelligence, fintech, SaaS, deeptech, and consumer technologies.
The regional winner will represent Uzbekistan at the global final in San Francisco and will have a chance to compete for a prize of 1 million US dollars. Startup World Cup is organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, which manages assets worth over 2 billion US dollars, including a portfolio of more than 300 investments, 88 exits, and 29 IPOs. Since 2017, the platform has gathered over 50,000 participants, 2,500 investors, and 500 speakers, and has held over 100 regional competitions in various countries.
The final in Tashkent will also include Speed Dating with 40 tables for meetings between startups, investors, and potential partners. The regional final is organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures and Don’t Settle with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan, and IT Park Ventures as partners.
On the same day, the Uzbekistan-Middle East Technology Summit will take place, focusing on cooperation in technology and investment between Uzbekistan and Middle Eastern countries.
Another venue, SABRIYA, will be dedicated to female entrepreneurship and leadership in the technology sector. Participants and invited experts will discuss the role of women in the digital economy, the development of technology companies, and launching their own projects.
The last day of ICTWEEK will be dedicated to cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, startups, and the gaming industry. AWS Community Day Uzbekistan will gather over 500 developers, cloud technology specialists, and technology enthusiasts. The program includes more than 15 speakers, among whom is Jeff Barr, Vice President and Chief Evangelist of Amazon Web Services.
The technical program will cover serverless technologies, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, containers, DevOps, cybersecurity, and modern cloud architectures.
On the last day, the Ignyte AI Challenge 2026, the GameGap event for the gaming industry, and the special edition of the TAQDIMOT startup show organized by AloqaVentures will also take place. Selected startups will present their products and business models to investors and venture funds, receive feedback from experts, and discuss potential investments and partnerships.
International participation in ICTWEEK reflects Uzbekistan's growing involvement in the global technology economy. For international companies, the country is positioned not only as a developing market but also as a potential base for further activity in Central Asia. For local technology companies, the event provides opportunities for direct contact with international clients, investors, and technology partners, which can contribute to attracting capital, concluding export contracts, and expanding into new markets.
