VC Party Tashkent will gather community of startups and investors on September 23

The 19th International Conference of Administrators and Registrars of Top-Level Domain Names for Eastern European and Central Asian Countries, named TLDCON 2026, will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The event is scheduled for September 22–23, 2026, and will be held at the Panarams Tashkent Hotel.

The conference is organized by the TLD.RU/.RF Coordination Center and the Russian Institute for Public Network Development (RosNIiROS). The Technical Internet Center is the general partner, while MSK-IX and Runity Group are partners. The event host is UZINFOCOM.

Over two days, participants will discuss crucial issues related to the development of national domains and the entire domain industry. The program includes eight thematic sessions and two presentations from Russian and international experts.

Key topics to be covered include the application of artificial intelligence in internet infrastructure, cybersecurity, regulation, special regimes of domain services, domain name marketing, and human capital development.

Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the TLD.RU/.RF Coordination Center, noted that the TLDCON 2026 program covers all critically important aspects of the development of national and global domains—from implementing AI technologies and cybersecurity measures to issues of regulation, marketing, and training young specialists. He emphasized the importance of discussing these topics based on participants' practical experience.

On September 21, there will be a 'zero day' of the conference dedicated to an expert session titled 'Indicators for Implementing Principles of Universal Recognition in the ITU System.' Participants will examine the possibility of creating a unified system of indicators, as well as data sources and collection methods.

The opening of TLDCON 2026 will be attended by Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, and Emil Gimranov, CEO of UZINFOCOM.

The first day of the conference will begin with the 'Partners News' session, where representatives of Russian and foreign registries, international organizations, technology companies, and registrars will present their projects and achievements over the past year, as well as plans for the current year.

Subsequently, experts will discuss special regimes of domain services, including categories of domains with specific registration and lifecycle requirements. A presentation by Jeff Houston from APNIC on DNS resolver operations is also planned.

Separate sessions on the first day will focus on the use of AI in internet infrastructure, protection against cyberattacks, and domain ecosystems, as well as domain marketing. The day will conclude with the interactive GoCreate! session, which is dedicated to using new technologies and creative marketing tools to expand the use of domain names and increase brand awareness.

The second day of the conference will be dedicated to the security of domain infrastructure. It will open with a presentation by Alexey Lukatsky from Positive Technologies, which will review future threats to national registries, including the transition from ransomware to AI-based agents.

Sessions will also cover combating DNS abuse and preventing large-scale coordinated attacks, as well as practical aspects of threat analysis and defense modeling for DNS infrastructure.

The conference will conclude with a youth session focused on the participation of young specialists in internet governance, necessary competencies, and relevant educational initiatives.

Representatives from organizations such as RSS, F6, beCloud, KAZNIC, Runity, RosNIiROS, ICANN, MSK-IX, VKontakte, hoster.by, and others are expected to participate as key speakers.

TLDCON 2026 will be held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation.

The Tashkent Region and the China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronic Products Import and Export (CCCME) have reached an agreement to expand cooperation in the fields of industry, trade, and investment. Discussions took place at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China as part of a working trip by the regional delegation.

The Governor of the Tashkent Region, Zoir Mirzaev, met with the leadership of CCCME. During this meeting, the significance of this organization in developing international trade and economic ties was emphasized.

CCCME unites over 10,000 enterprises and includes 22 industry divisions. The organization's headquarters are located in Beijing.

Chinese representatives were presented with information on the industrial, investment, and export potential of the Tashkent Region, as well as opportunities and conditions for implementing new production projects with the participation of foreign investors.

Discussion of Cooperation Areas

The parties discussed the development of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering industries, high-tech manufacturing, and industrial partnership. Special attention was paid to increasing import and export volumes, as well as the implementation of investment projects by Chinese companies in the Tashkent Region.

Participants noted that the extensive network of CCCME provides the Region with the opportunity to establish direct contacts with Chinese manufacturers and exporters, attract new partners, and expand the export geography of the Tashkent Region.

Furthermore, the parties considered ways to utilize CCCME's potential for promoting trade and investment, developing international industrial cooperation, providing legal support, and offering professional services.

Following the negotiations, it was decided to further develop practical cooperation between the Tashkent Region and CCCME, jointly develop promising projects, and attract major Chinese companies to the region.

The international Tasanno festival took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, gathering representatives from various countries, national cultural centers, friendship societies, and diplomatic missions.

The event was initiated by the Alliance of Twin Cities with the aim of strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between peoples, as well as promoting intercultural dialogue and expanding opportunities for people-level diplomacy.

The Tasanno Festival has been held since 2004 and has become a traditional platform where national cuisine is combined with the art, culture, and customs of different peoples. Its specialty is the use of gastronomy not only to introduce guests to national dishes but also as a tool for cultural interaction.

This year's festival featured participants from national cultural centers, friendship societies, and diplomatic missions from over 10 countries accredited in Uzbekistan. These included Turkmenistan, Palestine, Indonesia, India, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Pakistan, and other states.

Participants showcased their national cultures, culinary traditions, and values of hospitality. The central part of the program was the presentation of national dishes and dastarshans.

The jury evaluated the participants based on various criteria, taking into account the features of national cuisine, culinary traditions, the presentation of the dastarhan, and the culture of presentation. For visitors, the festival provided an opportunity to study the culinary heritage of different peoples and learn more about the history and cultural traditions associated with specific dishes.

The culinary program was supplemented by a diverse cultural program. Representatives from the participating countries performed national songs, melodies, and dances, demonstrating cultural diversity and creating an atmosphere of celebration and friendly communication.

Within the framework of the festival, the history of Tasanno was also presented: guests watched videos about the creation and development of the event since its founding in 2004, as well as about the countries that have participated over the years. A special photo exhibition was dedicated to the history of the festival, including archival photos of past events, visits by members of the diplomatic corps, participation of ambassadors of foreign states and national cultural centers, as well as various cultural programs.

Over time, the concept of Tasanno has gone far beyond a simple gastronomic event. Here, a national dish acts as a kind of cultural ambassador through which the history, traditions, values, and way of life of a people are revealed. Simultaneously, the general dastarhan creates a space for direct interaction between representatives of different cultures.

At the conclusion of the event, the jury announced the results of the national cuisine competition. Winners in various categories and the most active participants of the festival were recognized and awarded at the ceremony.

The International Tasanno Festival once again demonstrated that gastronomy can serve as a universal language of cultural communication. By bringing representatives of different countries together around a common dastarhan, the event promotes mutual respect, advances diplomacy at the people level, and expands cultural and humanitarian ties. The festival also opens up additional opportunities for popularizing national cuisines and traditions, contributing to the development of gastronomic tourism and cultural exchange between countries.
