Waste-to-Energy Equipment to be Launched in Karakalpakstan

In accordance with the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures for implementing the investment project 'Electricity Generation by Incineration of Solid Waste in the Republic of Karakalpakstan,' facilities capable of producing 90 million kWh of electricity per day will be launched.

The investor in this project is China Sciences Environmental Protection Technology (Hong Kong) International Co., Ltd (CSET (HK)), based in the People's Republic of China. As part of this project, the Project Company will ensure the launch of equipment that will process 0.75 thousand tons of waste daily using thermal treatment methods.

It is planned that between 2026 and 2028, direct investments amounting to 80 million US dollars will be attracted to the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
