In the village of Bankhala, located in Kotavali Dehat area of Bijapur district, a claim emerged regarding the presence of a well beneath a mosque. An investigation into this matter began after the head of the Hindu defense group, Kaushik Tyagi, filed a complaint with the police.
The Hindu defense group announced on Tuesday plans to hold a recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa near the alleged well. To ensure public order and prevent the start of any new traditions, a large number of police officers and administrative officials were deployed to the site. Police personnel convinced the organizers and halted the event.

When posters announcing the Hanuman Chalisa recitation appeared in the village, a commotion ensued. Given the sensitivity of the situation, a large contingent of police forces was stationed around the mosque. Police officers spoke with the leaders of the Hindu defense group and urged them not to conduct any activities at the location. Following increased measures by the police, the Hanuman Chalisa recitation program was temporarily postponed.
SP of the rural police, Gautam Rai, reported that complete peace is maintained at the site. The police have requested both parties to provide documents and records related to their complaints for an impartial investigation. Further legal action will only be taken after verifying the documents and facts to maintain a calm atmosphere in the region.
