If you are looking for a tasty and filling option for breakfast, you can try Aloo Paneer Paratha. This paratha, prepared with a spicy stuffing of potato and cottage cheese, has a very pleasant taste. This article presents a simple instruction on how to make this dish.

Paratha is traditionally one of the most beloved options for a morning meal. Although potato parathas are well known to many, Aloo Paneer Paratha offers a more original and interesting variation. The addition of cottage cheese to the soft potato filling makes it even more appetizing. The flavor is enhanced by spices, fresh coriander, and chili flakes. It can be served with yogurt, marinade, chutney, or sauce. Preparing this dish is quite simple, allowing it to be made even in the rush of the morning. Next, we will look at the necessary ingredients and the cooking process.

Ingredients

For the filling:

5 potatoes, 200 grams of cottage cheese (paneer), 2 tablespoons of ginger, garlic, and green pepper paste, 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes, 1/2 cup of finely chopped coriander, 1 teaspoon of roasted cumin and coriander powder, 1 teaspoon of chaat masala, 1/2 teaspoon of salt or to taste.

For the dough:

Wheat flour, a little all-purpose flour (maida), a little butter, salt, water as needed.

For frying:

Ghee (clarified butter).

How to make Aloo Paneer Paratha?

First, the potatoes need to be boiled. After they cool down, peel them and grate them. Similarly, the cottage cheese should be grated. The finely chopped coriander needs to be prepared in advance.

In a large bowl, combine the grated potato and cottage cheese. Add the chopped coriander, ginger, garlic, and green pepper paste, chaat masala, roasted cumin and coriander powder, chili flakes, and salt. Mix all the components thoroughly to create the ready filling for the paratha.

In another container, mix the wheat flour, a little all-purpose flour, butter, and salt. Gradually add water while kneading a soft dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for some time.

After that, take a small piece of dough, form it into a ball, and give it a slightly indented shape, like a small cup. Fill this shape with the prepared stuffing and carefully close the edges. Then gently press the item with your hands and carefully roll it out using a rolling pin into the shape of a paratha.

Heat a skillet and place the paratha on it. After one side is lightly browned, flip it and fry it with a little ghee on both sides until golden and crispy.

The finished hot Aloo Paneer Paratha should be served with yogurt, marinade, green chutney, or sauce.
