A new RSS office is ready in West Bengal, which will soon be inaugurated. After the BJP party gained power in the state, the organization's workload has significantly increased. According to the Union, Muslim scholars from Bengal are now joining RSS, who have been in constant contact with the organization, necessitating the creation of a new office.
Given these circumstances, a new building was constructed for the organization in New Town. This four-story complex, named 'Keshav Smriti,' is set to open on September 26th. The inauguration ceremony will be conducted by RSS statesman Dattatreya Hosabale. The new office is located within the jurisdiction of 2D New Town.
Previously, the Union's activities were conducted from 'Keshav Bhavana,' located on Abedanand Road in North Kolkata; however, staff faced difficulties due to lack of space. Therefore, a new premises was created for the organization in New Town.
According to RSS, the Union's work has substantially increased following the change of power in West Bengal. Furthermore, Muslim scholars are beginning to show initiative in joining RSS, which required the construction of a new building.
Previously, national leaders of RSS had to travel a long distance from Kolkata airport to 'Keshav Bhavana.' Now that the office is in New Town, it is closer to the airport, which will facilitate the participation of leaders from other states in events.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is part of a movement founded by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in 1925. RSS marked its centenary last year. The Union, which has long been active in Bengal, is now moving towards more efficient execution of its activities thanks to improved infrastructure. The new office will not only solve the problem of space shortage but also lay a solid foundation for future organizational expansion.
Many high-ranking officials and volunteers will attend the opening ceremony in the presence of Hosabale. This step underscores the growing activity of RSS in Bengal.
